We lack international competitions, so the 3rd CIS Games are a full–fledged international start for us. Russian athletes are very happy to see strong, motivated competitors and are motivated to win.
This was stated by Deputy Minister of Sports of Russia Alexey Morozov at a meeting of the Council on Physical Culture and Sports of the participants of the “Agreement on Cooperation of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the field of physical culture and sports” in Ganja.
According to him, the Russian delegation, which is one of the largest at these Games, was pleased to attend the opening ceremony at the Ganja Stadium: “We will definitely visit Khankendi, as well as all the cities where the competitions are held. It is very important for us to look at the entire geography of the 3rd CIS Games”.
It should be noted that the 3rd CIS Games taking place from September 28 to October 8, 2025, in seven cities across Azerbaijan: Ganja, Yevlakh, Mingachevir, Gabala, Sheki, Goygol, and Khankendi.
