The first competition day of the pistol and rifle shooting championship, serving as preparation and a test for the 3rd CIS Games, has concluded at the Ganja Sports Palace.
The championship was jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, 3rd CIS Games Organizing Committee and the Azerbaijan Shooting Federation.
On the second day of the tournament, 10 sets of medals were contested in the 10-meter air pistol and air rifle events among men and women. The competitions were held both among youth and adult shooters. A total of 83 athletes took part.
It should be noted that the 3rd CIS Games will take place from September 28 to October 8, 2025,
in seven cities across Azerbaijan: Ganja, Yevlakh, Mingachevir, Gabala, Sheki, Goygol, and
Khankendi. The opening and closing ceremonies will be held at Ganja City Stadium.
Shooting competitions will be hosted at the Ganja Sports Palace.
