The Azerbaijani Rowing Championship, serving as preparation and a test for the 3rd CIS Games, has concluded at the “Kur” Olympic Training and Sports Center in Mingachevir.
The championship is jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Canoe and Rowing Federation. On the second day, rowers competed for 7 sets of medals in academic rowing, kayak, and canoe events.
The winners were awarded diplomas and medals, and the standout athletes will represent the country at the 3rd CIS Games.
It should be noted that the 3rd CIS Games will take place from September 28 to October 8, 2025, in seven cities across Azerbaijan: Ganja, Yevlakh, Mingachevir, Gabala, Sheki, Goygol, and Khankendi. The opening and closing ceremonies will be held at Ganja City Stadium.
Rowing competitions will be hosted at the “Kur” Olympic Training and Sports Center, where athletes will compete for 22 sets of medals.
