Today, trampoline gymnastics competitions kicked off at the Sheki Olympic Sports Complex within the framework of the III CIS Games.
On the first day, men and women competed in the qualification round in the individual program. A total of 43 gymnasts from 7 countries — Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Türkiye, Tajikistan, Russia, and Belarus — are taking part in this prestigious tournament.
Azerbaijan is represented in the women’s individual program by world record holder (set in Germany) Selcan Mahsudova, as well as Shafiga Humbatova and Vafa Alisultanova; in the men’s competition — Nicat Mirzayev, Ali Niftaliyev, Maqsud Mahsudov, and Mehdi Aliyev.
Based on the results of the qualification stage, finalists include gymnasts from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, and Russia in the women’s category, while Belarus, Russia, and Azerbaijan athletes advanced in the men’s category.
It should be noted that in the final stage, Azerbaijan will be represented in the women’s individual program by Selcan Mahsudova, in the team competition by Selcan Mahsudova, Shafiga Humbatova, and Vafa Alisultanova; and in the men’s competition by Maqsud Mahsudov, Huseyn Abbasov, and Nicat Mirzayev.
