The chovgan tournament at the 3rd CIS Games officially began today at the Sheki City Stadium.
In their opening match, team Azerbaijan delivered a dominant performance, defeating Kyrgyzstan 4–0.
The tournament features six national teams. Group A includes Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kuwait, while Group B is made up of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Turkey. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals.
Azerbaijan’s next game is scheduled for September 30, where they will face off against Kuwait.
