On September 20–21, the 30th National Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship is taking place at the Shaki Olympic Sports Complex.
The competition serves as a test event in the run-up to the 3rd CIS Games. A total of 130 gymnasts representing 13 clubs from different regions of our country are participating. The athletes are competing in individual and group routines in the children’s, junior, and youth categories, showcasing programs with hoop, ball, clubs, and ribbon.
On the first day of the competition, gymnasts in the children’s age category performed routines without apparatus, with hoop, and with clubs. Among gymnasts born in 2017, first place went to Leyli Gaibli (“Ocaq Sport”), second place to Miray Hasanaliyeva (Aquatic Sports Palace), and third place to Nuray Dolchayeva (Sumgayit OSC).
In the 2016 age group, the gold medal was won by Zeynab Ismayilova (“Ocaq Sport”), the silver by Suel Kasimova, and the bronze by Aylin Gozialova.
Among gymnasts born in 2015, first place was taken by Mira Ozel (“Ocaq Sport”), second place by Amina Sadykhova (Aquatic Sports Palace), and third place by Nilay Pyunkhanli (“Ocaq Sport”).
In group routines among children’s teams, “Ocaq Sport” gymnasts claimed both the gold and silver medals in the program without apparatus, while the bronze went to Absheron OSC. In the all-around and in the program with five ribbons, “Ocaq Sport” took all three podium places.
It should be noted that the 3rd CIS Games will take place from September 28 to October 8, 2025, in seven cities across Azerbaijan: Ganja, Yevlakh, Mingachevir, Gabala, Sheki, Goygol, and Khankendi. The opening and closing ceremonies will be held at Ganja City Stadium.
Rhythmic Gymnastics competitions will be hosted at the Shaki Olympic Sports Complex.
