Today, the freestyle wrestling competitions among boys and girls concluded at the Olympic Sports Complex in Ganja as part of the 3rd CIS Games.
On the second day, bouts were held in five weight categories for boys – 48 kg, 55 kg, 65 kg, 80 kg, and 110 kg – and in four categories for girls – 43 kg, 49 kg, 57 kg, and 65 kg.
Out of nine wrestlers representing Azerbaijan, seven won medals. Ravan Hasanzade (48 kg) became the champion. Huseyn Ismayilov (65 kg) and Ali Hajiyev (80 kg) claimed silver medals, while Khadija Gurbanzade (49 kg), Esra Mammadli (65 kg), Ibrahim Suleymanov (55 kg), and Hakim Taghiyev (110 kg) earned bronze.
