Fencing competitions have ended at the Ganja Sports Palace as part of the 3rd CIS Games.
The Azerbaijani youth epee fencing team lost to Russia in the final (45:35) and won silver medals.
At the same time, our second sabre fencing team, consisting of girls, lost to Russia in the semifinals (18:45) and won the bronze medal. The main girls’ team defeated Uzbekistan in the semifinals – 45:37.
In the final, the Azerbaijani fencers lost to the Russian national team with a score of 35:45 and won silver medals.
Earlier, our fencers won 6 bronze medals.
Thus, the results of the fencing competitions were summed up today.
