Today in Ganja, the 3rd CIS Games concluded with the 3×3 basketball competitions.
The Azerbaijan women’s team (Polina Shukina, Deniz Gokchol, Angelina Ismayilova, and Leyla Allahverdiyeva) defeated Uzbekistan in the semifinals with a score of 22–10. In the final, our team lost to Russia (13:19) and claimed the silver medals of the Games. Belarus took third place.
The Azerbaijan men’s team (Huseyn Qaflanov, Emmanuel Agbasan, Ismayil Abdullayev, and Oguzhan Guliyev) lost to Belarus in the semifinals (13–16) and was narrowly defeated by Uzbekistan in the bronze medal match (15–16), finishing the tournament in fourth place.
