As part of the 3rd CIS Games, the medalists in swimming competitions were determined, which continue at the Ganja Sports Palace.
First, the winners in the women’s 800-meter freestyle swim were determined.
Russian athlete Anastasia Chernyshova took the first place, her compatriot Valeria Braznichenko – the second, and Ksenia Mastovich from Belarus – the third. Azerbaijani swimmer Anastasia Gnussina took the fourth position.
In men’s wrestling, the winners of the 50-meter backstroke were determined.
Russian Dmitry Kravtsov took the first place, while Belarusians Mikita Apanasik and Kirill Bansevich took the 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.
In the women’s 100 meters, Russian Evgenia Sadovnikova won gold, Kazakh Taissia Korotkova won silver, and Azerbaijani athlete Mehri Abdurakhmanli won bronze.
It should be noted that the 3rd CIS Games taking place from September 28 to October 8, 2025, in seven cities across Azerbaijan: Ganja, Yevlakh, Mingachevir, Gabala, Sheki, Goygol, and Khankendi.
